Kamasutra (Sk., Kāmasūtra IAST) is an ancient Indian text dedicated to the topic of kama - the sphere of sensual, emotional life, lust and love. “Kama Sutra” is based on numerous previous works in the field of Kamashastra - the science of Kama and, due to its completeness and systematic nature, is considered by many as a fundamental work in this area in Sanskrit literature. The author of the text is Vatsyayana. The full title of this work is “Vatsyayana Kama Sutra” (“The Instruction on Kams belonging to Vatsyayane”). It is believed that the author lived in the 3rd — 4th centuries AD e., probably in the Kushan kingdom
