To evaluate this book you have to forget how many times it was named “the greatest American novel” and “a masterpiece of the world literature”. Let the reader not be scared of the labels put on the book during the last hundred years. It is definitely the great success that “Moby-Dick” is not included into the school program. There is no sense to try to describe this novel. In case you will finish reading and decide that you understand everything, you will have to read it again.
